Fiber optic lines are run from a board that catches light from a projector down into the cube, where the tips are dispersed into an 11x11x11 pixel grid. The color and brightness of each "pixel" can then be controlled from a computer, like a three-dimensional computer screen. Even with the low-resolution of this display, animations still convey an intense sense of object and presence of thing. Approx. 3' x 3' x 4'.
